Stationary Dose Rate Measurement

ALMO-System: Stationary Dose Rate Measurement

Product description

When working with radioactive gamma sources, it is necessary to monitor working places, rooms or systems by measuring the current dose rate levels and compare these with limit values. The ALMO system was developed as a modular system for this purpose and can be composed application-specifically by various detector types and accessories like alarm lights and software.

ALMO-1: Alarm monitor with connection for 1 external detector

ALMO-1:	Alarm monitor with connection for 1 external detector

The ALMO-1 is a stand-alone dose rate measuring system for stationary use, for example monitoring of non-destructive test facilities.

Depending on the dose rate level, several detector types can be connected. The microprocessor-based measuring electronics show the measured dose rate on an LCD.

ALMO-3: Alarm monitor with connection for up to 3 external detectors

ALMO-3:	Alarm monitor with connection for up to 3 external detectors

The ALMO-3 system can be connected to
max. 3 external detectors. It is possible to connect different detector types, e.g. type 18509 for system monitoring (high dose rate) and type 18550 for working place monitoring (measurement of some μSv/h) ) parallelly. 2 freely definable alarm thresholds can be set for each detector.

ALMO-6: Alarm monitor with connection for up to 6 external detectors

ALMO-6:	Alarm monitor with connection for up to 6 external detectors

For monitoring of large halls or laboratories, up to 6 external detectors can be connected to the ALMO-6 system. The maximum distance between ALMO and detectors is 100 m.

The ALMO-6 system can be linked to a central PC-system for measuring data logging and evaluation. In case of large area monitoring, several ALMO-6 systems can be linked. It is also possible to use additional displays.

Alarm units

Alarm units: 3-level LED-lamp

Alarm units like the 3-level LED-lamp can be connected to all ALMO-systems for alarm visualization.

Software for measurement and data recording

Software for measurement and data recording

Software for measurement and data recording

All measurement data can be displayed graphically by the software for measurement and data storage.

For example, dose rate measurement values can be displayed in a curve, as a function of time. In addition, lamp symbols (green/yellow/red) can be shown during actual monitoring for a quick interpretation of the measurement values.

Additional measuring value display

Additional measuring value display

Depending on the local circumstances it may be necessary to display the measuring value of one or more detectors at the measurement or monitoring place, apart from the central measurement display of the ALMO. The external measurement display offers a high comfort with task-specific parameter setting.
